Ingredients
2 servings
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp agave syrup
- 1 pinch of salt
- 3/4 tbsp agar-agar
- 400 ml coconut milk
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp agave syrup Optional - for those with a sweet tooth
- 200 g fig
Steps
- 1
Heat the coconut milk, agave syrup, vanilla, and salt in a small saucepan, stirring. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
- 2
When the mixture boils, reduce the heat and whisk in the agar-agar for 2 minutes.
- 3
Then pour the mixture into 2 large dessert glasses (or 4 small ones) and place them in the refrigerator until the desired consistency is reached (this will depend on the size of the glass, but count on about 50 minutes).

Just before serving, prepare the fig topping. Add the water to the saucepan (a small amount just to keep the figs from sticking), the figs cut into small pieces, and the spoonful of agave syrup (optional; I personally did it without). Stir regularly over medium heat using a wooden spatula to "break down" the pieces.
- 5
Pour the fig topping over the panna cottas, then serve with a fresh fig cut into quarters as a garnish.
